RHE HISTORY
Way back in the late 1970’s 3 high school seniors from different rural and city secondary schools with a mutual interest in running dances, meeting girls and a love of current popular music styles at the time, decided to pool their knowledge and financial resources to purchase the best audio and lighting gear available to run their own events.
What resulted became the original version of R.H.E. known as P.R.S. DJs.aka Professional Rock Sounds Ltd.
P.R.S. Djs became the DJ Company in the London and South Western Ontario area that set the bar for having the biggest setups and best Djs you could have perform at your event.
This success throughout the 80’s and early 90’s led to the addition of music video medium being incorporated in to most of their larger productions.
The diversification into large scale Audio/Visual and lighting packages led to much more of a market share of corporate, colleges & universities and higher end private events prompting a name change to P.R.S.PRODUCTIONC INC.
The client list in the mid to late 90’s included many London based nation companies such as London Life, Good Life Fitness, Shoppers Drug Marts,3M Canada and TD Canada Trust.
In the course of servicing one of these particular clients, TD Canada Trust, at a South Western Regional Awards event in Blue Mountain, due to some very inclement weather conditions, an AV opportunity arose.
The other AV contracted to supply the Audio Visual (Edcom) could not make it to the venue.
WE were asked by the clients CEO to fill in and supply the AV equipment and services for the Awards part of the evening which we accepted the opportunity since we had most of the necessary equipment required.
This proved to be the company’s epiphany upon getting paid to provide the AV Services +the Video Dance Party Services for TD Banks event.
An immediate shift in focus to more corporate AV Production Services for events resulted in the following 10 years resulting in a very healthy portfolio of clientele.
In the late 2000’s (2008)P.R.S. Productions was purchased by a larger AV company looking to expand its clientele portfolio and relocated to a larger building.
After a couple of years of working as a freelancer for several local AV companies and the lATSI Local the original 2of3 owners of Rob Jackson & Garry Lindsay were approached by the Western Fair Association in London to see if they would be interested in subcontracting their events services expertise for a new concept at the WFA called the DISTRICT that would host multiple annual events at their new venues.
This venture was the beginning of what was to become RED HOTT ENTERTAINMENT AV Services Ltd.
Since 2010 Red Hott Entertainment AV Services or as it’s know now R.H.E.AV Ltd. has successfully orchestrated 100’s of local, national and international events and tradeshows at the WFD.
R.H.E. AV Ltd has been involved in supplying quality equipment and technical services for events such as
National Equestrian Finals, International Clydesdales Completion, Canada Cup Curling Championship Finals 2X, London Wine & Food Shows, National Poultry Show, South Western Region Farm Shows as well as the annual Western FALL fair in September.
